Ilanga, A new Dawn: June 2007, Site visit Report.

On June 2nd, 2007, representatives from HAZ and FOPD (Friends of Picardy Drive) met with the founder and project director of the home-based care projcet, “ILANGA-A NEW DAWN” (Ilanga).  The meeting followed recommendation that had been made to HAZ about the Ilanga project.  Our intent in meeting with the project founder, Ms. Ethel Manda, was to get a better understanding of the purpose of the Ilanga home-based care project, as well as to determine if entering into a partnership with the project would result in an enhancement of the services provided to the target poplulation.  Our two-hour meeting with Ms. Manda was eye opening, very compelling and we believe, highly fruitful.
