Conduct A Vitamin Drive

January 12, 2009

multivitsMulti-vitamins are a critical component in the clinical and nutritional care of PLWHA (People Living with HIV/AIDS).  We distribute a free, three-months supply of multi-vitamins to each of our adult, and young patients seen at both our Bulawayo and Harare clinics.

Although we receive grant funding to purchase HIV/AIDS medication, we do not receive any funding to purchase these essential multi-vitamins.  We constantly welcome donations of adult and children’s multi-vitamins to be distrubuted to our patients and clients in Zimbabwe.  Should you wish to get involved in our vitamin collection efforts, feel free to conduct a vitamin drive in your community, and then deliver those vitamins to our offices or agent closest to you.  When collecting children’s multi-vitamins, please do not collect the jelly-type chewable vitamins, as these may melt prior to reaching Zimbabwe.  Please feel free to contact us with any questions you may have on this endeavor.  We also welcome your ideas to help us better facilitate the vitamin drives.

mflogo1Ebay allows you to support non-profit organizations like ours, through their Missionfish GivingWorks program. Through MissionFish, you can sell items on EBAY, and designate a portion (or all) of your sales to be donated to a verified non-profit organization (preferably ours)! By buying items on EBAY that are marked with the GivingWorks logo givingworlslogo, you also help support the work of nonprofit organizations throughout the world. So please, stop by our MissionFish shop, and if it is empty, find something to sell through EBAY, on the behalf of those who need your support.
